I cannot begin to count how many times I have been asked that question. It seems so foreign to some while it comes so natural to me. I cannot tell you a time or day I decided I wanted to homeschool, teaching my children was a natural part of our existence, I have always sought out learning toys and activities that would assist in exercising and enhancing not only their play time but also their cognitive and physical development. My two older children have experienced the public school system, Madison finished the 2nd grade and Ethan went through the 4th grade (well, he also home schooled the second grade but that was right after Hurricane Katrina and it hardly counts) I have been so very blessed to be allowed to teach my children to pour into their lives and help them build a foundation that is strong and unshakable! What a privilege it is teach my children, to daily take responsibility over their education. I have come to the conclusion that no one in this world could care more about their education or know them as well as I do. So with all that said I will continue to "train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart" Proverbs 22:6 !
